African Crown Crane -- is made of bronze and weighs 30 pounds. It's base (not shown) can be a mat finished gold marble or walnut. It's the first of an edition of 20, all to be cast in bronze.

I first saw the African Crown Crane in the Phoenix Zoo, and immediately fell in love with him. He was preening his feathers just as he appears in the sculpture and seemed to know he was beautiful. He posed for me to show off, and I immediately started the sculpture. However, I took time off to do the SPCA Commission, so it wasn't finished for two years.
